MEDIA RELEASE 2018 ITF WORLD CUP

The President of the International Taekwon-do Federation Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg & ITF Board Member Master Michael Daher would like to issue a statement clarifying the position of the organising committee regarding competitors for the future ITF World Cup 2018 Gold Coast Australia.

This event is being organised exclusively by Master Daher & his team on behalf of the International Taekwon-do Federation. Contrary to misinformation and hearsay this event is open to all Taekwon-do practising members in Australia & around the world.

Regardless of which group you belong to, or follow, the International Taekwon-do Federation headed by Grand Master Pablo Trajtenberg and the Oceania Taekwon-do Federation headed by Master Michael Daher welcomes you all in good faith and based on the tenets of Taekwon-do as taught by our Founder General Choi Hong Hi to celebrate this once in a lifetime opportunity to compete against some of the best in the world on home soil in a spectacle of a competition set to raise the already high standard of our organisation to another level never seen before.

We would like to clarify the following in regard to this world class event;

  • There is absolutely no requirement or obligation to join ITF Taekwon-do Australia under President Master Michael Daher
  • There is no requirement to train under Master Michael Daher or the ITF Taekwon-do Australia National Coach
  • You are free to train with whomever you wish where ever you wish in your preparations
  • You can train under your own instructor, be coached by your own instructor and have your own instructor/ coach with you at the event supporting and guiding you throughout the whole event.
  • You will have the freedom to represent yourself, your instructor , your club and ultimately your country Australia.

We would like to extend this invitation to all Taekwon-do practitioners in Australia.
